I am adept at identifying the best settings in your place of business for the best environmental portraits that will put you in a positive light. One often overlooked but very important business photography need is well-lit head-shot portraiture of your team for use in web pages, media releases, brochures and to replace your LinkedIn and other social media sites “snap-shots” with quality professional portraits. Studio lighting allows me to capture compelling portraits that the subjects can select on-site.

I am well into my second decade as a successful freelance photographer in Kansas City following a career as a newspaper photojournalist for a number of daily publications. Early on I embraced the immediacy of digital photography and have an extensive stable of cameras, lenses and lighting to fulfill the demands of high-end photography.

I continue to hone my portrait skills as the contract photographer for The Kansas City Business Journal while continuing my passion for fast action, shooting professional sports and breaking news for wire services such as Agence France Presse, Getty Images and have been the Kansas City stringer for Reuters the past decade. Other editorial clients include a host of outlets such as The New York Times and USA Today. I also serve a number of Kansas City businesses with their visual needs.

I am now directing my emphasis from predominately editorial to commercial freelance photography, focusing my storytelling skills for higher-end clients who desire striking visual imagery to communicate their message.
